Lake Okeechobee – this lake is Florida’s largest lake and the second largest body of fresh water in the United States. This 730 square mile lake has an enormous habitat diversity. It’s located on the south-central portion of the Florida peninsula. Its popular species consist of Largemouth bass, Bluegill, Redear sunfish, and Black crappie.

Lake George – the St. John’s River runs right through this 46,000-acre lake. This lake is an excellent habitat for fish because of its extensive vegetation. Its popular species consist of Largemouth bass, Bluegill, Redear sunfish, Black crappie, Striped bass, and Brown bullhead.

Rodman Reservoir – this reservoir is 9,500 acres and is about 15 miles long. It is located south of Palatka. Its popular species consist of Largemouth bass, Bluegill, Redear sunfish, and Black crappie.

Lake Talquin – this lake is located west of Tallahassee and is 8,800 acres of reservoir. It is known for its Black crappie fishing during the winter months. Its popular species consist of Largemouth bass, Bluegill, Redear sunfish, Sunshine bass, and Black crappie.
